Astra has received an update to make browsing more comfortable, help you follow your favorite anime, and give your profile more personality.
A REFRESHED LOOK
The site has a cleaner design, more consistent styling, improved spacing, and updated navigation. You can switch between light and dark modes, while mobile keeps its dedicated bottom dock.
Loading indicators and subtle animations also help make the experience smoother.
YOUR NOTIFICATION INBOX
Announcements, giveaway news, and other updates can now reach you directly through your Astra inbox.
Look for the notification bell on desktop, or open Notifications from your mobile account menu.
Inbox • Astra
AUTOMATIC ANIME UPDATES
Set an anime’s list status to Watching to receive a notification whenever a new episode is added to Astra. Each notification includes a direct link to the episode.
Changing the status to Planned, Completed, or Dropped stops future episode alerts for that series.
WATCHING LEVELS & AVATAR FRAMES
Your profile now levels up through active watch time. Pauses, buffering, and skipped time do not count toward your progress.
Higher levels unlock new animated avatar frames:
Fern: Levels 1–4
Tide: Levels 5–9
Celestial: Levels 10–19
Phoenix: Levels 20–34
Aurora: Level 35+
Your frame appears alongside your avatar across profiles, comments, and forum posts.
COMMUNITY REPUTATION
Comments and forum posts now support upvotes and downvotes. Your profile displays your total reputation from votes received on your contributions.
LET US KNOW WHAT YOU THINK
If something looks off or does not work as expected, please report it in the forum. Screenshots and your device/browser details are especially helpful for mobile issues.
